Position: Level 2 Teaching Assistant Location: Sheffield Pay Scales: Grade 3 SCP5-6 £23,500 - £23,893 (£18,026 - £18,328) Hours: 33 hours per week / 39 weeks per year Start Date: September 2024
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Veritas Supporting a Secondary School in Sheffield. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students.
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, supporting the learning needs of students.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional help with their learning.
- Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and well-being.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities and resources as directed by teaching staff.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within an educational setting is desirable.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
