YEAR 6 TEACHING ASSISTANT - LANCASTER - MATHS AND ENGLISH INTERVENTION (SATS INTERVENTION)
A primary school in Lancaster is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support core subjects, Maths and English intervention.
The position is full time, working Monday to Friday, 8.50am until 3.15pm.
This role will require both one to one and group support. General duties will also include assisting the class teacher, and whole class support to suit the needs of the pupils in the class.
Duties will include:
- Preparing activities and lessons
- Delivering engaging sessions
- Supervising and providing particular support and encouragement for the pupil
- Ensuring pupils safety and access to learning activities
- Implementing IEPs
Teaching Assistant Key Information:
- Lancaster area
- Monday to Friday - 8.45am until 3.15pm
- £12.50 per hour
- To start from January 2024, until at least May 2024.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification
- Experience and knowledge of KS2
- Intervention knowledge and experience
- Adaptable and flexible to support the class teacher and to suit needs of pupils.
- Available full time for the duration of the assignment
