Start ASAP ECONOMICS GRADUATE Hounslow - All Boys Secondary schoolVeritas is currently working with a well established all boys secondary school based in Hounslow. The school are looking for a dedicated Economics graduate to work as a Teaching assistant, particularly those with an interest in persuing a career in teaching. The candidate will join the SEN department within the mainstream school. The role will involve supporting A Level students in Economics. A degree in Economics is ESSENTIAL.The candidate will be supporting SEN students with Autism, Dyslexia and also learning and communication difficulties, so an understanding of SEN and an empathetic nature is essential. You will be responsible for improving social skills and also monitoring behaviour. Due to the urgent start date, a current DBS on the update service is required. The school is located close to various local bus routes and is a short distance from a mainline train station. There is also parking available at the school.

Key skills and experience needed:

  • Graduated recently with a ECONOMICS degree
  • Achieved A or B in Economics at A level.
  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
  • A firm presence and strong behaviour management
  • Professional manner and enthusiastic
  • Resilient and patient
