Are you a passionate Science Teacher ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Our welcoming and forward-thinking SEND secondary school in Redhill is seeking an inspiring Science Teacher to join our dedicated team as soon as possible.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential. You'll work closely with a skilled team of teachers and support staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver Science lessons up to GCSE level in line with the National Curriculum.
Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students with complex needs, including autism and social, emotional, or communication difficulties.
Assess, record, and report on students' progress and achievements.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and families to support holistic student development.
Contribute to the school's inclusive ethos and commitment to high standards for all learners.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent.
Experience teaching Science up to GCSE level.
Strong working knowledge of the National Curriculum.
Understanding of and experience with students with complex needs.
Desirable
Experience working with students with Autism (ASD) or within a SEND setting.
