An opportunity has recently arisen for an SEN TA or Learning Support Assistant to work within the SEN department of a mainstream secondary school in Preston. This position will start at the beginning of November and will continue for the full academic year - 2018/2019. The school have been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and have a supportive SLT team. The SENCO is ideally looking for someone who has experience of working in a school setting with pupils who have SEN such as Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, EBD and PMLD.
Secondary Teaching Assistant Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant to work on a 1-2-1 and group basis.
The Successful Applicant:
- A minimum of 6 months experience within a school or child related environment
- Able to successfully carry out 1:1 support
- A Genuine passion for Education and to making a positive difference
- Good behaviour management skills
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Both a friendly and professional manor
