Teacher of Art & Design - Preston: November 2019
Veritas Education are working closely with an Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school in Preston who are seeking a full time Teacher of Art & Design from November until July 2020 to cover maternity. The successful candidate must have experience of delivering the curriculum up to GCSE and have excellent classroom and behaviour management.

Art & Design Teacher Role:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons to inspire and engage KS3 & KS4 pupils
- Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
- Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures
- Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
Art & Design Teacher Requirements:
- Have a Bachelor of Education, PGCE or UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience of teaching Art & Design to KS3 & KS4
- Be an inspirational role model; committed to their own learning and that of others
- Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
