An oversubscribed secondary school in Southwark is recruiting x2 graduate teaching assistants. These are full time positions and you will be required to support learners across Key Stage 3 & 4.
Each candidate will be expected to work on a 1:1 or group basis. Some students will have SEN such as ASD, SEMH and communication difficulties. As well as helping academically you will also be responsible for monitoring behaviour and improving social skills.
Selected candidates will deliver 1:1 Literacy or Numeracy sessions. A good understanding of language/literacy or Maths is a must. Candidates with previous experience are encouraged to apply.
This role would also suit candidates with an interest in becoming a teacher in the future.
The school is easily accessible via public transport.
Key skills and experience needed:
- University Graduate
- Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
- One to one and small group work
- Professional manor
- Enthusiasm and friendly approach
